I’m sure everyone knows the anime called <The Idolm@ster>. It is referred to as the easiest anime when people think of otaku. However, most people don’t know exactly what kind of anime this is. If you thought it was just an anime where anime girls laugh and chat, you are mistaken. Today, I will talk about <The Idolm@ster>. I haven’t talked much about the episodes so far to avoid spoilers, but this time I will talk about just Episode 1.


The story begins from the perspective of a cameraman. You get to watch the daily life of young idol trainees like a documentary. They come straight from school to the office, leading a busy life doing school homework and idol dance practicing, and sometimes catch up on short naps on a small sofa. Seeing these young children evokes a sense of affection and a desire to cheer them on.


The reason there are so many otakus who are enthusiastic about <The Idolm@ster> is due to this highly immersive narrative. As viewers watch the characters grow from humble idol trainees to top idols and perform, they develop an affection for them. Furthermore, the anime’s production team created numerous high-quality songs through a professional music production team, making the characters’ activities feel realistic.


I am confident that if you watch even just the first episode of Idolmaster, you will become a fan of “765 Production” within the anime. Furthermore, as the episodes progress, the personalities of all the characters are clearly revealed, and no one gets overshadowed. The fact that liking even just one character turns you into a die-hard fan is likely the secret to its popularity.
